The Faroese Folk High School

FØROYA FÓLKAHÁSKÚLI (The Faroese Folk High School – An alternative, Nordic, educational experience)

Fall/Winter Semester, September  – December

MISSION STATEMENT 
To mentally and physically awaken and activate, and promote personal development through creative, supportive, and enlightening instruction.

LINES OF STUDY
Faroese language, literature, history, and society.
Sewing, crafting, glass beadwork, and ceramics.
Woodworking and the creative use of organic materials.
Instruction on the technical and production sides of documentaries and short films. Drama, singing, art, ocean-swimming, field trips throughout the Faroe Islands, and group projects and events.

COST
3.950 Danish Krones per month. The total amount is 23.700. The cost includes room and board, instruction, and all field trips and excursions.

CONDITIONS
You must have turned 17 years old by school start in september. You must attend all classes and group events. Quiet hours are from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
