The first three semesters are made up of required core courses, which afford students a solid foundation in Faroese literature, theory of science and communication. Successfully completing the core courses is a prerequisite for enrolling on the following three semesters of elective courses. Electives enable each student to shape their degree according to their interests and plans for the future.
Students who complete the BA degree in Faroese may apply for the MA programme.
As regards employability, a BA in Faroese unlocks a host of professional opportunities in areas that require expertise in Faroese, such as media, administration and research.
An academic programme includes a general description of a degree programme, the curriculum, rules, regulations, etc. that apply to your chosen degree programme. Only one programme is applicable to you, depending on when you start your study.
